The Chilkat ActiveX components are now available in digitally signed .cab files for easy embedding within HTML via the OBJECT tag. This allows the components to be used in client-side Javascript.

Scripting Features

• The Chilkat ActiveX components are packaged in digitally signed .cab files to ensure integrity and authenticity.
• Most Chilkat components are commercially licensed (i.e. not free).
  However, when running within a browser the fully-functional trial period never expires.
  A Javascript program still needs to call UnlockComponent, but it may pass an arbitrary string. In effect, the Chilkat ActiveX components are freeware when running within a browser.
• The ActiveX components can only be embedded within browsers that support ActiveX, such as Internet Explorer.
